On December 19, 2018, the Barbados Economics Society (BES) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and hosted a panel discussion on Priorities for Economic Development in 2019 which included panelistsDr. Troy Lorde, Head of Economics at the University of the West Indies; Mr. Simon Naitram, Lecturer in the Department of Economics, UWI; Mr. Shane Lowe, BES President and Mr. Christopher Kinch, BES Vice President. 

 

During such deliberations, the BES Executive members recognized the achievements of Mr. Shane Lowe during his tenure as President and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.

 

At the conclusion of the AGM, membership of the BES elected a new President, Mr. Simon Naitram.
